Reclaiming over-sprayed material in the powder coating booth is vital to the efficient use of materials. The MS Cyclone powder recovery system is designed to achieve the highest efficiency in powder reclaim, ensuring contamination free recovery of material ready to be recycled back into the coating operation. Internal tests have shown the MS Cyclone powder recovery system to be 97% efficient.

The powder / air mixture is extracted from the powder booth enclosure through specially configured, self-cleaning duct work. This design eliminates the possibility for powder contamination in the extraction duct. Convenient clean-out access ports are built into the ducting for routine maintenance.

Tangential air movement within the Cyclone’s trapezoidal chamber separates the reclaimed powder from the air stream, which is then recovered in the lower cone section. The operator can then select whether the peristaltic powder feed pump is used to return of reclaimed powders or sent to the absolute filter for waste recovery.

MS Cyclone units are available in a range of custom configurable capacities from 4,000 to 28,000 m3/hr. (2,400 to 16,800-CFM).
